BECOME AN INVESTOR

We are seeking investors to donate their time and energy to evaluate and advise participants during our pitch prep, pitch competitions, webinars and sessions throughout the rest of the cohort. Investors are actively recruited by the PSL Team & Board to provide encouragement and feedback, help facilitate founder progress, and hone in on key elements for success.

For our accelerator programs, we are currently focused on investors with experience in impact investing and cannabis, CBD and hemp. However, investors with experience in every industry are welcome to apply!

 
 

Anticipated time commitment: Lightning Pitch Night Event, April 12, 2022 from 5:30-8pm (Virtually)

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Participate as a judge or evaluator for our Accelerator’s Lightning Pitch Night

  • Fill out evaluation form to provide critical feedback to our founders'

  • Stay engaged in the PSL community!

Desired attributes

  • Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Philly Startup Leaders and to helping Philly founders help themselves

  • Adept at relating to and empathizing with entrepreneurs and their aspirations, especially early-stage entrepreneurs

  • Capable of asking critical questions and providing feedback that will help our founders succeed

  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries, while providing valuable guidance

  • Skilled at providing both positive and constructive feedback, and challenging assumptions

  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and the creation of pathways and pipelines to entrepreneurship

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • We are looking for investors experienced in the following areas:

    • Cannabis

    • Hemp

    • CBD

    • Impact Investing
