Philly Startup Leaders Thrives Because of You

Dear Philly Startup Leaders Community Member,

2018 was an incredible year for Philly Startup Leaders. We supported entrepreneurs of all stages through our educational programs and hosted some of Philly’s biggest startup community events, like our annual Founder Factory just a couple of weeks ago.

Our mission is to help current and future founders succeed in Philadelphia and beyond, and thanks to you we reached major milestones. Here are some examples:

  • Our small but mighty team produced the Philly tech scene’s largest showcase of local technology startups – Entrepreneur ExpoWe saw a 40% increase in attendance compared to 2017!

  • We revamped the annual Diversity Dinner and saw an increase in new attendees from various sectors across the city, making the Philly Startup Leaders network more accessible to key community stakeholders.

  • Our 2018 Accelerator program for early-stage startups got the attention of AT&T, who has offered support that allows us to double the size of the program in 2019.

  • We launched our first ever community survey and received great feedback on who makes up the Philly Startup Leaders community and where we should focus our efforts in order to set the organization on a sustainable path. (Results will be published at phillystartupleaders.org)

While the Philly Startup Leaders network has been around for over 10 years, it was just 3 years ago that resources came together to build the organization and grow its impact.

We envision Philadelphia to be a place where everyone can achieve their entrepreneurial potential as part of a collaborative startup and innovation community. Please consider supporting our efforts by attending events, becoming a mentor, volunteering, or donating. Philly Startup Leaders is a 501c3 non-profit organization and no support is too big or too small.

Thank you for everything you do to support Philly Startup Leaders and the overall startup and innovation community!

With gratitude,
Kiera Smalls, Executive Director, and the PSL Team
