Philly Startup Leaders’ mission is to help current and future founders succeed in Philadelphia and beyond; read more about our 5-year vision here. Our board members are responsible for guiding the work of the organization in a way that best fulfills that vision.
We look for board members who have a deep understanding of entrepreneurship, a passion for mentoring startups at their early and growth stages, a knowledge of global startup ecosystems, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that Philadelphia startup founders have what they need to be successful.

Message from PSL’s Board President
Rudy J. Ellis is the current Board President, CEO of Switchboard Live and has been an active member of the PSL community for years, including participating as a mentor for our Founded In Philly Accelerator.

NEW! Board Subcommittees
We are thrilled to introduce you to the new members of the PSL Board, and hope you are as excited as we are to welcome them to our community in their new roles.
Beginning in 2022, each of the board members will be able to select an area of interest, where they feel they are able to bring the most value. The Board is looking forward to forming the following subcommittees:
Governance: Focusing on board engagement and efficacy, organizational strategy, and supporting the ED and the team in working towards our mission.
Community Engagement: Focus on community engagement with PSL's current (and future) members. Additional focus on individual-donor fundraising.
Ecosystem Partnerships: Focus on developing important ecosystem partnerships, especially with service providers, to provide resources and community expansion.
Fundraising: Focus on securing our largest, annual sponsorships to catalyze operations and grant funding.
Additionally, we are looking for enthusiastic members of the community to support these initiatives and PSL’s events throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering for PSL, please fill out the form below.
