Where can you go in the city to pursue building a tech startup when you want a career change, have never been exposed to entrepreneurship, or simply need an extra push forward? There are not many places offering education, mentorship, and support - regardless of the industry or outcome - and we wanted to change that.

We are super excited to work with these 20 founders to get them from idea to launch! This annual idea-stage program is designed to teach promising founders the mindset, skills, and endurance needed to pursue entrepreneurship and build a sustainable company. We focus solely on founder development and mentorship, and do not take equity in our accelerators. We leave that game to others.

After hosting bootcamps and our popular MVP-stage accelerator for the past six years, we’ve finally created a dedicated program for the earliest part of the startup funnel - the idea stage.

MVP-stage startups, don’t worry, we’ll see you in September!

Our idea-stage participants will work alongside their peers, experienced entrepreneurs and other startup leaders over the course of 12 weeks. The program concludes with the opportunity to demo at our Entrepreneur Expo, Philadelphia’s largest annual showcase of startups and technology companies, taking place during Philly Tech Week.

Thanks to a special partnership with the City of Philadelphia’s Venture Program, we will be awarding up to $150,000 in grants to Founded in Philly Series I (and Series II) entrepreneurs from socially or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We envision Philadelphia to be a place where everyone can achieve their entrepreneurial potential as part of a collaborative and innovative startup community, and look forward to helping these current and future founders do just that.
